AI image upscaler in your browser

Upscale one image at a time with browser-based AI processing. Your image is not uploaded to our server.

Upload one image

This tool processes a single JPG, PNG, or WebP image. Large images can be slow or fail on low-memory devices.

Choose one image to start.

Original

No image selected.

What is sent over the network?

Your image pixels are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to ToolsForImage. To keep this free tool affordable, the browser may download TensorFlow.js and AI model files from public CDNs such as jsDelivr/GitHub. Those files can be cached in your browser for future use.

What is not supported?

Batch upscaling is not supported right now. Process one image at a time to avoid browser memory issues and keep the tool usable on normal laptops and phones.

Performance notes

The first run can take longer because the AI model must download. Photo quality mode uses Real-ESRGAN at 4x and is slower than the illustration model. If your browser runs out of memory, try a smaller image or switch to the Real-CUGAN illustration model at 2x.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is AI Image Upscaler free?

Yes. AI Image Upscaler is free to use in your browser.

Is this tool free?

Yes. ToolsForImage tools are free to use without creating an account.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The image tools currently implemented on this site process selected files in your browser instead of uploading them to our backend.

Does it work offline?

The page and required browser libraries must load first. After the tool is loaded, image processing happens locally in your browser, but the site is not packaged as a dedicated offline app.

What is the maximum file size?

There is no server-side upload limit for image processing because files are handled locally. The practical limit depends on your browser, device memory, and image dimensions.

Does it support batch processing?

This page handles one image at a time. Use the Batch Tools menu for batch versions where available.

Can I use this tool on mobile?

Yes. The tool works in modern mobile and desktop browsers, subject to your device memory and browser support.
